London: Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said on Thursday that there was no chance of assemblies being dissolve, adding that representative assemblies will complete their term and there is no such problem, which may delay elections in the country.

Khawaja Asif said when asked to comment on National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq's remarks, Speaker Assembly had only expressed concern over the ongoing situation in the country.

"There is no chance of assemblies being dissolved," he said. "Elections will take place as per schedule."

Khawaja Asif said that extremism had grown in the country as a result of the Afghan war. He said that Pakistan would convert extremism into moderation.

The foreign minister also spoke about the rising price of dollar, urging people not to worry about it.

"The rate of dollar keeps on fluctuating--at times it increases and other times it decreases--don't get worried about currencies," he said.

Asif said that the elected government was not unstable and after a few months would tackle all issues that Pakistan was facing.

"Nawaz Sharif is acting upon the promises he made to the country," he said. "The government has fulfilled majority of its agenda for the nation," he added.

He rejected the notion that special meetings were being held with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said that Kulsoom Nawaz was undergoing treatment at a hospital in London.

The foreign minister spoke on sit-in protests and said that these took place across the country and never troubled governments.

Khawaja Asif said that the government was not worried about the arbitration of any institution where dharnas were concerned.
